Junior QA Engineer

JUNIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Austin, Texas

About the Junior QA Engineer role:

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this is a detail-oriented role for someone who is inquisitive, process-driven and takes pride in delivering to an exacting standard. If you love the hunt of finding bugs in software and enjoy solving complex puzzles, this is the role for you.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with our Engineering, PM, and UX teams to support the delivery of an exceptional product and user experience. 
  • Document and manage test plans and QA scripts for manual and automated (Mechanical Turk) testing of our mobile and web applications.  
  • Perform manual and user-acceptance testing (UAT). 
  • Provide the first line of defense for investigating and documenting bugs as they are reported. Triage all issues and bugs and escalate as necessary.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of our quality management system (QMS). Stay informed regarding compliance changes/requirements. 
  • Contribute to (internal and external) documentation.  
  • Minimal travel expected in this role.
Qualifications & compensation
  • Minimum two years of experience with software testing. 
  • BA or BS preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of software development, QA methodologies & release processes.
  • Experience with Agile sprint management and bug-tracking solutions such as JIRA.
  • The ability to create and execute SQL scripts for the purpose of data validation is a big plus!
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment (experience working in a start-up environment helps).

We are looking for an experienced full stack engineer to increase team velocity and bring their own edge into our technical vision. Our platform is evolving, as is our customer facing product. Example projects you would be crushing:

  • Decoupling existing features from our monolithic platform to micro-services
  • Integrating with and managing third-party APIs
  • Enhancing our existing interactive assessments and creating more
  • Adding machine learning to our clinical-decision support algorithms

Position overview:
We’re looking for an experienced designer who wants to be a key member of a health tech startup impacting millions of lives. The UX/UI designer will be responsible for bringing the product to life through a deep understanding of our customers and their needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Translate product feature requests into user-flow wireframes outlining the happy-path and identifying edge cases.
  • Create high fidelity mockups based on wireframes.
  • Write stories for development to implement feature requirements in alignment with wireframes and mockups.
  • Conduct user research and testing to understand how people (will) use the product and identify points of friction.
  • Work collaboratively with business and research teams to understand product needs, as well as with the development team to ensure delivery.
  • Occasionally work on other design (i.e., web, graphic) projects as needed.

About you:

Healthcare Product Manager

HEALTHCARE PRODUCT MANAGER

Austin, Texas

Position Overview:

In this role, you will drive the delivery of our existing and future roadmap by collaborating with our Science, Medical, Data, and Design teams. It is a unique opportunity to translate pioneering research and technology into products that improve the lives of patients and caregivers, and make doctors’ jobs easier.

Key responsibilities:
  • Gather product requirements from internal and external stakeholders, and research and elaborate feature requests; understanding the “why” behind the “what” people are asking for.
  • Continually gather and analyze data to practice evidence-based decision making, leveraging real-world insights, clinical practices, customer feedback, and business intelligence
  • Translate feature requirements, providing unambiguous direction to design and development to ensure what is built is in line with the goals of the business. 
  • Manage the design process by collaborating with UX on upcoming and future features, presenting recommendations, and ensuring proper implementation and design integrity with the engineering team. Supervise UX Designer.  
  • Design and manage testing protocols (user testing and A/B testing) to enhance usability and drive product goals. 
  • Leverage Agile methodologies to keep teams aligned and rapidly delivering value to the business, as well as lead Agile ceremonies. 
  • In collaboration with Director of Engineering, build release plans and feature roadmaps aligned to strategic goals and organizational priorities while effectively leading partner tradeoffs.
  • Triage support questions and issues to identify bugs and fixes, monitor trends in the product, and escalate issues to the engineering team as needed. 
  • Understand BrainCheck’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized as best in industry.
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
  • Some travel (<25%) expected at this stage (post, COVID, obviously)

Position overview:
We’re looking for a Sales Executive to help us grow our customer base among Physicians (primary care and neurology) and Medical Groups.

The Sales Executive will be focused on building and managing a pipeline of opportunities in order to hit monthly and quarterly targets for new customer acquisition.You must be self-motivated, driven to succeed, and committed to taking personal ownership of your goals and your plan to achieve them.

Essential job functions:

  • New customer acquisition – build and manage a sales funnel, qualify leads, identify decision makers, close deals with doctors, medical groups and health systems for the use of the BrainCheck platform
  • Presentation of the BrainCheck platform via phone, online demos, at trade shows and occasionally in person
  • Management and development of a large pipeline of opportunities in Salesforce to hit or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Travel: ~20-30% (2-3 short trips/month)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3-5 years experience selling to small or medium sized organizations (<200 employees), preferably in healthcare, with demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding quota
  • Experience working through a consultative sales process
  • Experience using a CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Ability to learn quickly and speak with credibility about healthcare and technology
  • Experience selling to doctors a big plus
  • Experience working in a startup environment is also a big plus!

Position overview:
We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Sales Executive to help us sell BrainCheck to healthcare organization with both fee-for-service and value-based care models. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating hospital systems, medical groups, ACOs, IDNs, and payers, building relationships and achieving buy-in among multiple decision-makers, developing and negotiating agreements, and closing deals.

Essential job functions:

  • Analyze customer requirements, develop solutions to complex problems, and communicate a clear vision to customers and prospects
  • Build and maintain senior-level customer relationships through consultative selling and promoting customer confidence in BrainCheck
  • Analyze and prepare accurate business forecasts
  • Negotiate multi-year software and services contracts

Manage the sales process including:

  • Build funnel – effective hunter, who can work with our marketing team to run creative lead campaigns
  • Qualify leads – are our solutions a good fit, and is there budget?
  • Identify decision makers – understands and builds value around pressing business issues
  • Develop multi-threaded relationships– maps solutions and services to business problems
  • Close – negotiate contractual and financial terms
  • Ensure ongoing customer satisfaction during presales and post sales engagements
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate cross functional teams to ensure customer success

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years experience selling in the enterprise healthcare market (health systems, ACOs, IDNs and payers)
  • Proven track record of success managing the sales process and developing strategic roadmaps which align customer needs, issues and opportunities with industry best practices and solution offerings
  • Experience selling both value-based and fee-for-service value propositions in healthcare
  • Account and Project management skills; Client and Business plan management proficiency, experience using Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to establish credibility and trust with cross functional teams that can impact your customer (product, marketing, finance, legal and professional services organizations)
  • Executive presence, strong business acumen and analytical abilities
  • Available for 50% travel to attend trade shows and support named accounts

We are looking for a bright go-getter with fresh ideas and a passion for social media marketing and public relations. The intern chosen for this position will be responsible for the creation, management and execution of all social media marketing initiatives, including content, graphics, editorial calendars, monitoring and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of media relations and excellent written and oral communication skills, with solid understanding of AP Style.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily posts (e.g., articles, graphics or videos) across various social media channels
  • Effectively use social media channels to engage and build a relationship with media, BrainCheck’s existing community of followers, influencers and potential customers  
  • Support all planning and execution of social media campaigns and ongoing editorial calendar schedules for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Communicate and brainstorm with marketing and research teams to develop posts in support of our editorial content, upcoming campaigns and marketing initiatives
  • Keep the team abreast of emerging social media trends and technology
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Assist in writing, editing and distributing press releases
  • Assist in pitching story ideas to key media contacts, both local and national
  • Brainstorm with marketing team on interesting story angles for press releases
  • Build and update media lists

Experience:

  • Proficient usage of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator or InDesign
  • Experience using social media management tools, such as Hootsuite, for social media listening, social media publishing or social media measurement preferred

Requirements:
