Starting this week, you may notice a few changes to the design and layout of the clinical report when you review the results of a BrainCheck assessment. These updates are intended to improve visibility into the scores of each cognitive domain, provide better visual representation of the results, and more.
We’ve summarized the changes found in the new clinical report below.
Branding
The first change you’ll notice is in the header. Many practices provided feedback requesting the ability to include their own logos on the clinical report. Now, you can upload an image in the admin portal that will appear in the top left. The area will be left blank if no images are uploaded.
Address and contact information for the practice will also appear below the physician’s signature. Primary account holders should review and update contact information in the Organization Settings section of the admin portal.
Combined Test Results
The combined results and overall scores from the BrainCheck cognitive assessment battery appear at the top of the new report. This section includes the test taker’s standard score, a new bell curve graph showing their results compared to a normative population, and clinical decision support.
Individual Test Results by Cognitive Domain
Results for each assessment now appear under their respective cognitive domains, and we’ve updated the descriptions for each assessment. This new design emphasizes the test taker’s percentile results over their individual scores, as comparison to normed populations provides a better indication of cognitive function.
Screeners, Recommendations & Notes
Scores for behavioral screeners — such as GAD-7, PHQ-9, and GDS — now appear on page two.
Below that, recommendations based on the test taker’s scores are listed, which can include the suggestion to create a cognitive care plan. The notes section includes any text entered by the physician, as well as pre-populated notes for the reason for testing and remote test administration (as available).
Historical Trends
Finally, for test takers with results for multiple assessments, historical trends will be available on page three. We have also included new historical tracking for behavioral screeners. This page and information only appears for test takers who have completed two or more BrainCheck batteries.
